As our unforgettable journey through the United Kingdom and Ireland draws to a close, we begin another wonderful day with a relaxing breakfast at the hotel. Today's adventure takes us to Ireland's spectacular west coast, a region famous for its dramatic landscapes, charming villages, and timeless beauty. Leaving Dublin behind, we head west through rolling green countryside, stone walls, and endless fields dotted with grazing sheep—scenery that perfectly captures the essence of Ireland.
The approximately three-hour drive is a destination in itself. Every mile reveals postcard-worthy views, making it impossible not to keep your eyes on the window as Ireland's peaceful countryside unfolds before you.
Our first stop is Galway, affectionately known as Ireland's cultural capital. From the moment you arrive, the city's vibrant energy is impossible to miss. Colorful shopfronts, lively streets, and the sound of musicians performing on every corner create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the country.
A leisurely stroll through the famous Latin Quarter and Quay Street is one of the highlights of the visit. Boutique shops, artisan cafés, traditional Irish ice cream parlors, and inviting pubs line the cobbled streets, making every step a delightful discovery.
Dating back to 1320, St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church is one of Galway's oldest landmarks. Legend has it that Christopher Columbus visited here to pray before setting sail on his historic voyage. From there, we continue to the banks of the River Corrib and the historic Spanish Arch, where beautiful riverside views offer the perfect opportunity for memorable photographs.
One of Galway's greatest charms is its street performers. Talented musicians, traditional Irish dancers, and local artists bring the city to life, transforming its streets into an open-air stage. It's almost impossible not to slow down, smile, and simply enjoy the atmosphere.
Leaving Galway behind, we continue toward the charming fishing village of Doolin. Along the way, the remarkable limestone landscapes of the Burren accompany us. This unique region, with its rugged rock formations contrasting against Ireland's lush greenery, offers some truly unforgettable scenery.
Although small, Doolin has a character all its own. Take a relaxing walk along the coastline, breathe in the fresh Atlantic air, browse local craft shops, or stop at one of the village's traditional pubs for an authentic Irish experience. If you're lucky, you'll even hear local musicians performing traditional Irish tunes that perfectly complement the village's warm and welcoming atmosphere.
And then comes the moment many travelers have been waiting for...The breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. No photograph can truly prepare you for your first glimpse of these magnificent cliffs. Rising nearly 200 meters (650 feet) above the Atlantic Ocean and stretching for almost eight kilometers along Ireland's western coastline, the Cliffs of Moher are among Europe's most spectacular natural wonders.
On a clear day, you can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and even Loop Head in the distance. Standing at the edge of the cliffs, listening to the crashing waves below while feeling the Atlantic breeze, is one of those travel moments that stays with you forever. As the Irish countryside rolls by outside the coach windows, it's the perfect time to reflect on all the unforgettable experiences we've shared throughout the journey. Back in Dublin, the evening is yours to enjoy. For those wishing to experience Ireland's famous hospitality one last time, a traditional Irish dinner accompanied by live music and energetic dance performances is a wonderful choice. History lovers may enjoy visiting The Brazen Head, Ireland's oldest pub, while those seeking a peaceful evening can stroll through the Docklands along the River Liffey or admire the beautifully illuminated Dublin Castle after sunset.
Beer enthusiasts may wish to visit the Guinness Storehouse to discover the story behind Ireland's world-famous stout before enjoying panoramic views of Dublin from the Gravity Bar. And if you're searching for unique souvenirs, George's Street Arcade offers an excellent selection of vintage treasures, handcrafted gifts, and independent boutiques.
Before we know it, our final morning has arrived. After breakfast, we pack our suitcases and set out for one last stroll through Dublin. Perhaps it's another walk across the historic grounds of Trinity College, a final coffee along Grafton Street, or simply a quiet moment listening to the city's talented street musicians. Sometimes, the best way to say goodbye to a city is simply to slow down and enjoy its rhythm one last time.
Around midday, we transfer to Dublin Airport for our flight back to Istanbul. As the aircraft lifts into the sky, we leave Ireland carrying far more than just our luggage.
